Here's what's going on in my life. How about you?

Remember how I said that I was supposed to get two MRIs today?

Whomp whomp. (But let's all take a minute to appreciate the superb editing job I did in getting rid of my last name from that Facebook post.)

In other news, I was nominated as a Top 25 Family Blogger at Circle of Moms (I'm not entirely sure what that means yet, but I hope it comes with a parade.) So if you want me to win, you can click the pleasant little circle below and then click the little heart that says "vote" by my name.

You can vote for me once every 24 hours through October 31, and if I win, I'll ask the parade to go by your house as a thank you. (Assuming there is a parade. But there's gotta be one, right??) So, you know... please and thank you!

Annnndddd.... I should have some news soon about a way that you guys can all win some awesome free stuff (I mean, not all of you. Just some of you. Sorry. Hold your applause.) But I'm waiting until I'm really sure.

So, what's new with you?

Footie pajamas are the new black

Tonight is a "lay on the couch and eat chocolate while watching reruns of Project Runway" kind of night. I've been dealing with some major pain for a while now that seems to be located in my right gluteal nerve. In other words, it's a literal pain in my butt. (Which is so fun to explain to people, by the way. "Why can't I hang out today? Well, um... my butt hurts." "Why is my physician recommending physical therapy, nice scheduling lady? Um. My butt hurts.") I have a second (and I think third?) MRI scheduled for Thursday, so if everyone could say a quick prayer that my pain can be diagnosed and treated, that would be extra appreciated. Please and thank you!

So if you've been wondering why I haven't posted any funny Lucas stories lately (and I'm sure that approximately zero of you were,) it's because I spend a lot of time laying on the floor while trying to entertain a toddler. It's definitely interesting, but not exactly "other people will want to read about this" interesting. Lucas may or may not have (definitely did) spent 24 hours in his pajamas the other day. Try not to judge. If my child did not love to cuddle and read books for much longer periods of time than could possibly be considered normal for a one-and-a-half year old boy, my "pain days" would be pretty much impossible.

But in happier news, I might have some exciting (mostly for me, I'm sure) blog news to share soon. And my husband is awesome. And this little boy's smile pretty much makes my life:

Stay tuned for further updates from my living room floor.
